The production of Japanese knives by the Fujiwara family began with Fujiwara-san's grandfather. Originally, the focus was on "Kogatana" blades - small handy knives with standing blade. These knives are a type of all-purpose knife for cutting, carving or peeling fruits and vegetables. Over time, Fujiwara-san has increasingly used his knowledge to produce Japanese kitchen knives. When his son joined the small family business, this area was further expanded. Father Okeya-san teaches his son all his knowledge of blacksmithing and this with full success as you can see from the Japan knives.
We are happy to present another traditional family business in the European market. In addition to the Santoku knife, other Japanese knife types will hopefully follow in the future.
